st croix 7ft medium spinning rod St. Rods Premier taking the best of both materials and combining them to produce a lighter St. Croix TRIS70MF Triumph Inshore

So this expensive reel made me think about the "budget" version again

This Predator Fishing rod crafted with a strong and responsive 24T carbon rod blank, this rod delivers the perfect balance of strength and sensitivity for a variety of fishing scenarios from Freshwater spinning all the way to light sea fishing from a boat

*The discs don't actually slip and slide between the vertebrae as the GIF would have you believe (We would be in a lot of trouble if they did!), a "slipped disc" isn't accurate terminology of what is happening with back injuries but this does serve to illustrate what is effectively happening to the structures (on a forces level)

So I did post a photo of a homemade cane fishing pole on my Reelin in the Years Facebook page and thats how this bit of remembering came to be

Cross and tail wind situations are all manageable too, but you need to be super cautious when casting into the wind with this break setup
