Jean-Michel Basquiat: King Alphonso Plate Mike Ovitz Their silhouetted shapes act asProduced by Ligne Blanche in Paris in collaboration with the Estate of Jean Michel Basquiat, this Limoges porcelain plate features a detail from Basquiats work on paper King Alphonso (1983), which includes the artists signature three pointed crown motif and likely references King Alfonso XIII of Spain. As in Basquiats artwork, the plate illustrates an isolated head in vivid red, yellow, and purple hues surrounded by enigmatic symbols in violet.
